This market resolves YES if, at any point between market creation and December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, Argentina is determined to have successfully taken control of the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) from the United Kingdom.

“Retake control” is defined as any of the following conditions being met:

1. Argentina establishes effective governing authority over the Falkland Islands, including military, administrative, or political control, and

2. The United Kingdom no longer exercises de facto control over the territory.

This may occur via:

• Military action (e.g., invasion or occupation), or

• A formal diplomatic agreement transferring sovereignty.

Clarifications

• A temporary occupation by Argentina lasting less than 7 consecutive days will NOT qualify unless it results in a sustained transfer of control.

• Symbolic actions (e.g., flag planting, protests, cyber operations, or declarations without enforcement) do NOT count.

• Diplomatic negotiations, proposals, or statements alone do NOT count unless they result in an implemented transfer of sovereignty.

• Control must be recognized by credible international reporting (e.g., major global news outlets and/or official government confirmation).
