Discovering champions...
Eight major‑league clubs (Yankees, Mets, Knicks, Nets, Giants, Jets, Rangers, Islanders) — pick which franchise wins a MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL championship first in the upcoming seasons, until SB 2028. Include an outcome for “Streak Stands” if no New York City team wins by resolution.
- NBA: 2025–26/26-27 season (championship awarded in June).
- NHL: 2025–26/26-27 season (Stanley Cup awarded in June).
- MLB: 2026/2027 season (World Series awarded in October/November).
- NFL: 2026–27/27-28 season (Super Bowl played February).
- Market final settlement/freeze: Immediately after the Super Bowl (officially awarded) on the date of the Super Bowl LXII: Feb. 2028 — Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Ga.) or in case of both NYC teams (Giants/Jets) eliminated. If championships occur earlier, those outcomes resolve when the league officially awards the title.
- Market open: Immediately.
- Market freeze / final settlement: At official conclusion of the Super Bowl (NFL 2027–28 season) in February 2028.
- Early settlement: When a listed franchise is officially awarded a championship during the covered seasons, that outcome is marked winning and pays accordingly.
Edge cases & arbitration
- Franchise relocation/name changes: outcome remains tied to the franchise.
- If a championship is vacated or later nullified, settlement follows the league’s official final determination.
