Resolves YES if, on or before Oct 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT, OpenAI publicly releases a first-party, general-purpose web browser (desktop or mobile) that is generally available (no waitlist/allowlist) and is explicitly described by OpenAI as a “browser.” Acceptable evidence includes an OpenAI blog/product page or docs, an official download page on openai.com, or a live listing on the Apple App Store/Google Play/Windows/macOS download page under OpenAI as the publisher that describes the app as a browser and allows arbitrary URL navigation.
Resolves NO if it’s only an announcement, closed beta/TestFlight/limited track, dev preview, internal test, or if the product is merely a browser extension, search feature, or in-app browsing inside ChatGPT or another OpenAI app; or if first general availability occurs after the cutoff.
Sources of truth: OpenAI blog/product pages/help center/release notes; official app-store listings where OpenAI is the developer. If timing is disputed, use the earliest official OpenAI timestamp (converted to PT). If needed, app-store “Release Date” when the build becomes publicly downloadable in the U.S. may be used.
